It isn’t something I want ALL the time but there is nothing like it to ensure I find my flow regardless of how “shitty” my situation or my lack of “feeling it”

Painting for my exhibit in Sydney in March has forced me to just focus on my paintings. BUT I’m still being reminded outside the studio...
to do my job and not waste time & energy on what someone else is doing.

As in...my job is to do my best. My job is to PRODUCE the work. NOT POLICE the reactions of others to it.

🎨DO THE DANCE🎨

You know that Wiggles song ‘do the dance’? Anyway...for me it’s always about the dance I do in my creative process. Of stepping forward for the intricate details. The close up and focus on tiny sections.

Then, stepping back for the big picture. Seeing the whole painting not just on its own but also as part of a collection.
