🎨How to get started making your art:🎨

> clear the tiniest space you need (photo of a little spot on my messy kitchen bench)

> “throw paint on the canvas” whatever that looks like for your medium or media

> embrace the imperfection...of your tools, your space, your ‘feelings’ or inspiration, your skills

> trust the call to make, trust you will find a way, trust you have what you need to start NOW and will get what you need as you KEEP GOING

> keep throwing paint on canvas until you find flow, or your ‘satisfaction point’ which for me is sometimes 10minutes

> walk away and commit to do it again tomorrow. And do it.

> repeat

🔥What you don’t need:🔥

X perfect anything. Tools, timing, skills, space, feelings

X exact idea of what you’re making. 
Sometimes a vague direction is the perfect start

X exact skills you need for the vision, sometimes you will only learn them on the way to the vision

X feel in flow. Sometimes, especially when you have been out of practice, it takes a while to clear the gunk out. Before the tap can flow easily. Trust & be faithful in the process

X too much focus on the end goal. Doing it for the process is what makes the journey enjoyable, creates the best art and allows you to find accidental magic and a bigger vision than you originally intended.

X too much focus on the process, nitpicking and complaining about the lack of...perfection. Remember your job is to essentially ‘take dictation from soul’. Work with the muse. Your Muse is responsible for the grand magic and yours is to COMMIT to the partnership to bring it to life.
