A Song of Hope at Sunrise | 76cm x 100cm
A repeated theme in my works has been around the themes of love, connection and it’s role in grief. The spiral motif reflects our spiraling journey in spiritual & personal development growth.
This painting has a spiral that serves as a window to the ‘past’, showing the previous layers beneath as an anchor through time. The way our memories helps us time travel to the stories & events that gave us those lessons from love & connection.
The golden colours are a departure from my usual pinks and blues but it kept nagging at me until allowed it to flow. Which brought the whole piece together. I love that it references sunrises as a symbol of hope even after the darkness of grief. It asks you to find the gold lining in the rainstorm clouds that’s blowing away
Painting details:
Size: 76cm (w) x 100cm (h)
Gallery wrapped cotton canvas. Framed in Flooded Gum (Eucalyptus Grandis) float fram, grown sustainably with FSC certification. (add approximately 1cm to the size on all sides)
Satin Gloss Varnish (which gives the colours an amazing depth + protects the painting, though I would not recommend hanging it in direct sunlight -- that will make the painting sad & fade.)
please note that the image has been calibrated to be as accurate as possible -- due to different monitor settings, the colour you see on your screen may not be an accurate representation of the real thing. rest assured, the colours are rich and beautiful..
