Colours of Joy - LILLY PILLY
Colours of Joy - LILLY PILLY
Being stuck at home during one of the strictest lockdown restrictions in the world…I’ve had to truly stretch my creative muscles to find inspiration locally. To lean deeper into nature.
I love that it’s a colour I’m not that comfortable with — green. It’s a colour I have been playing with more to get ‘use to’ it as part of my visual palette. Even though I’m surrounded by greenery in the suburbs where we live.
I also love how nature has pops of contrasts in flowers and berries. It isn’t the neon brights that I love…but it reminds me that nature has the mastery of colour with her subtle nuance changes in shade & tone. While still keeping it interesting by throwing in the unexpected contrast.
Kinda like how life & Mother nature has thrown us into an unexpected world with COVID-19 & the contrast we are experiencing in our lives.
